there is 3 things: improve your art, work more on the promotion, or talk more with people
1-improving your art - interesting and good quality art attract people attention and gives you highlights, also the better your art, less you need to work on the promotion
2-working on the promotion, being an artist is pretty much like being any other kind of professional, you gotta make people know about what you do
3-talk more with people, meet new people, be nice and polite to them, it's not just what you know, but who you know. The right connections can give you good opportunities and help you with your goals
